The R1M is still Yamaha's top supersport motorbike, and unless you get one of Valentino Rossi's old MotoGP bikes, this is the most performance you can get with the tuning forks emblem. Yamaha kept the drivetrain the same for 2018 but enhanced the electronics package. Most of us would be content with 197bhp and 112Nm from a crossplane four-cylinder motor. As a result, in addition to the 6-axis IMU that regulates traction control, ABS, slide control, lift control, and launch control, the R1M comes with Ohlins semi-active suspension, which adjusts compression and rebound on the fly based on sensor feedback. The Ohlins Smart EC 2ERS is its name. It gets a new quick-shifter that eliminates the need for a clutch.
