BMW’s best-selling model in India is now in its third generation, and has grown larger and more spacious, compared to its predecessor. The BMW X1 gets a 136hp, 1.5-litre sDrive18i X Line petrol and a 150hp, 2.0-litre sDrive 18d M Sport diesel engine option, the former paired to a dual-clutch automatic gearbox, the latter a torque-converter automatic. However, this time there is no xDrive AWD variant; it is front-wheel drive only. It gets features such as a 10.25-inch curved infotainment screen, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and ADAS tech. Speaking of design, the new X1 gets a large, chrome heavy grille with inverted L-shaped DRLs. It also gets flush door handles as seen in the new 7 Series.
