    The Nissan X-Trail is a premium executive SUV and is available globally in 5-seat or 7-seat guises. It is available with a number of petrol or petrol hybrid powertrains, the most interesting and unique of which is Nissan’s e-Power range extender hybrid system. This mates a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine to an electric motor, but the car runs only on electric power, with the engine acting only as a generator. It will be the only strong hybrid in its segment which includes the Citroen C5 Aircross, Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tiguan.
