Follow us onBetween my wife and I, our scooter’s daily usage is around 50km, with most of it being through fast and flowing roads at speeds of around 55/60kph. I am looking to buy an electric scooter, but I am on a tight budget of Rs 1.2 lakh. Please suggest a few good options that have the maximum range under my price bracket.

Autocar India says: The Ather 450X is a tried and tested package and our long-term review units of both the Gen 2 and Gen 3 models that have run hassle-free for years. With the recent variant rejig, the Ather has become quite affordable, especially if you option it without the Pro Pack, while still giving you the same 146 km (claimed IDC) range as before. Do keep in mind however, that the charging times are very slow (although we've been told a 50 km distance (true range) should be possible with an overnight charge) and it misses out on quite a few features. If you’re willing to compromise a little bit on outright range numbers but want an e-scooter with a decent charging time, the TVS iQube is a worthy contender within your price range as well.
