Much like its cousin the Skoda Slavia, the VW Virtus has shaken up the midsize sedan establishment with its blend of space, practicality, tough build, features and strong petrol powertrains. The high-tech TSI engines are refined, yet powerful, and with engine stop/start, offer good fuel economy too, but some might still long for a diesel powertrain. What will really sell the Virtus to many will be its dynamic package, however, which serves up a mix of ride quality and handling that few others in this class can match.
