Hyundai’s second EV for India is the Ioniq 5 crossover, a sister model to the Kia EV6. It is based on Hyundai's e-GMP skateboard EV platform, which has allowed the brand to maximise inteirior space. Globally, the Ioniq 5 is available in multiple powertrain and drivetrain options but in India we get only the 72kWh battery pack with an ARAI rated range of 613km, with a single motor and rear-wheel drive. Unlike the EV6 which is a completely built unit (CBU), the Ioniq 5 is be assembled in India, which has allowed for a much more competitive price.
